I'm now sort of wondering what her house will be like when all the art stuff is out of it and in the studio. Imagine the space! Actually, I can't. Sparrow's house is a filter feeder in a rich current of the Amazon (other online retailers are available) and it will be as crammed with interesting, useful and grossly over-packaged things for as long as she likes having lots of interesting and useful things. And as for the over-packaging, there's always a bonfire.
There's a conversation in Conan Doyle's A Study in Scarlet where Watson is amazed that Holmes did not know the earth orbits the sun and not t'other way about and Holmes explains that the mind is an attic and it is best filled selectively and with design intent. He's obviously been round her place: every tool in that literal mind-attic carefully selected by the feeding filter of temperament and so perfectly contributing to a life well lived.
