There's a scene in Seth Morgan's novel 'Homeboy' where the protagonist, in the midst of a brutal prison riot, is suddenly struck by what strange and beautiful things his hands were. "We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time." Thunderstruck by ourselves, by our own experience of being ourselves. On the cuttings, delighted by our train of thought as it passes.
I got onto that because I was thinking of Sparrow's small expressive hands today, so that's what I think about when I think about Sparrow.
